Marketing Executive

Job purpose:

This role is key in delivering strong printed and digital content in the form of videos, photos, and other forms of content creation. You will work to engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to create engaging content to widen NRF’s reach. You will be the go-to for all things “content” with Adobe Suite skills and photography/videography.

The post holder will work to attract and engage both existing and new audiences via our programmes of work, projects, campaigns, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the marketing department;
  • To maximise Income Generation through marketing across different platforms;
  • To drive the performance of our social media channels forward and ensure that we are creating engaging and shareable content;
  • You will be one of NRF’s contacts for capturing photo and video opportunities;
  • To attend events/activities (this may take place on weekends and evenings) to gain content, including not limited to photos, filming, and content creation;
  • To support the Media team to create social media assets, including but not limited to video, social media images, and graphics;
  • Be responsible for the production of imagery, photos, and films promoting NRF;
  • Set clear KPIs and demonstrate ROI for activity;
  • Ensure all NRF’s fundraising communications are highly targeted and effective.
  • Plan, create, and execute an exciting and engaging marketing strategy across all channels (Newsletter, WhatsApp, Social media, TV, radio, etc..) to engage with different age groups to maximise channel and audience engagement;
  • Work closely with the Media team to create effective marketing material that maximises exposure and engagement;
  • Respond to social media enquiries in a timely manner;
  • Able to use the appropriate analytic resources to drive strategic insight, review performance, optimise live campaigns and make recommendations for the future;
  • Manage SEO tools for the charity;
  • Experience in testing new tactics to optimise landing page conversion, online donation, or list growth;
  • Create and manage a bank of always-on social media assets and posts, to ensure the consistent presence of the NRF on social media;
  • Ensure social media posts/assets are aligned to the NRF brand and tone of voice;
  • Maintain the Google Ads account, ensuring that the Charity has targeted PPC internet marketing in line with our brand, messages, and campaigns.;
  • Help to maintain a positive working environment; keeping the vision of NRF at the heart of everything we do.

Person Specification:

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to the Noor Relief Fund vision, mission, and core values.

  • Proven experience in creating compelling digital and social media assets which drive engagement and amplify reach;
  • Excellent copywriting, influencing, and communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with an excellent understanding of Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign;
  • Good knowledge on the basics of taking pictures and videos;
  • Experience working in NFP/Charity sector, with limited media spend;
  • Experienced at delivering effective digital and social media marketing campaigns, including set up and day-to-day management of paid media advertising;
  • Experience in using data and analytics to monitor, optimise and evaluate digital marketing activity;

Fundraising Manager

Job purpose:

The Fundraising Manager will aim to increase the contributions of individuals and groups by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities from events, campaigns and other sources. The role depends heavily on being able to forge positive relationships with supporters of NRF.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the fundraising department;
  • To maximise Income Generation potential through fundraising activities across all income streams including corporate giving, gift aid, events, community and support groups, major donors, legacy giving and trusts;
  • Develop a strategy that leads to increasing commitments from Major Donors;
  • Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising including social media;
  • Research and write funding proposals and cases for support and adapt as needed;
  • To provide the highest standard of stewardship to existing donors and supporters to maximise income and ensure long-term funding relationships;
  • Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters;
  • Work with the Marketing team to produce materials for fundraising;
  • Represent NRF to the wider community as appropriate to role and authority;
  • Develop and maintain supporter database, ensuring that records are up to date, complete and stored and used in compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements;
  • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, manage, retain, supervise and develop a network of volunteers to support fundraising activities;
  • Attend fundraising and other events as required (this may involve some weekend and evening work);

Executive Assistant

Location: Stanmore Office – London
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week split over 5 days

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic support for the CEO
  • Manage correspondence between the CEO and external stakeholders, including categorising incoming mail, and triaging or delegating to other team members where relevant.
  • Manage the CEO’s diary on an ongoing basis to ensure it continuously reflects current priorities and responds to emerging needs.
  • Preparing and managing the CEO’s meetings, taking minutes, and being in charge of the guests’ hospitality.
  • Manage the CEO logistics, including travel arrangements, venue booking and processing expenses.
  • Be the first point of contact for staff members, concerning any matters relating to the CEO.

Admin and Communications

  • Your daily duties will include managing the office, photocopying, coffee runs and general low/medium-level administrative tasks.
  • Act as first point of contact – deal with correspondence and phone calls
  • Replying to all enquiries that come through to the main organisation’s email address and all social media platforms as well as queries via telephone (landline) and mobile phone (calls and messages).
  • Contacting sponsors regarding payments, important changes or any other issue with the recurring donations

  • Following up on tasks assigned to other staff members and providing training/support where needed.

Finance Tasks

  • Supporting the Finance Officer with admin tasks management including ensuring that the donations on the system are eligible for Gift Aid
  • Creating receipts for donations via bank transfer and cheque upon request
  • Obtaining information regarding donations or sponsorships
  • Sending out annual donation statements via Xero upon request.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Managing and Training other staff members/volunteers
  • Completing any ad-hoc tasks related to admin work.
  • Carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by management.
  • This role may include travel (including occasional overnight stays) within the UK and occasionally further afield.

Admin Officer

Operations Manager

Job purpose:
The Operations Manager (OM) will manage and provide oversight for existing donor communications, programmes, and charity administrative operations. The OM ensures that donor and orphan records are accurate and up to date. The job holder will provide support to the CEO and will play a key role in liaising between the Head Office and the local branches/partners abroad. The OM will also need to ensure that staff reporting to him/her are adequately trained, monitored and are performance reviewed on a frequent basis.

Scope of the role:

  • Reporting to the CEO, the OM will strengthen the organisation’s position, performance and standing through:
  • Assuming responsibility for the administration of the overseas programmes including the Orphan Sponsorship Programme.
  • Oversight editing and authorisation of orphans’ biodatas and progress reports.
  • Oversight of the administration of new sponsorships and donations via all income streams.
  • Work closely with the finance department to prepare project budget reports.
  • Collecting and reviewing end of project reports.
  • Verify with staff that sponsorship payments are up to date and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Oversight of handling of orphan related enquiries and ensure they are brought to conclusion.
  • Address donor, beneficiaries and overseas team concerns and complaints effectively and escalate to CEO when required.
  • Ensure records on the database are accurate and up to date.
  • Train staff and monitor performance in maintaining an up-to-date database.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place, documented and maintained
  • Organise overseas staff meetings, type agendas and take action points/minutes.

Events & Volunteers Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

Events

  • Plan, support and deliver events and activities organised directly by NRF and encourage participation in events organised externally.
  • Act as first point of contact for all third-party event fundraisers and to offer support where needed.
  • Maximise publicity on all fundraising activities.
  • Develop relationships with external partners and networks. Ensure that any new networks are identified to maximise fundraising opportunities, including proactively approaching groups and associations to fundraise for NRF and support them with their fundraising activities.
  • Support and maximise all third-party led events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure the meticulous recording of all data relating to events.
  • Form and run events committee(s) groups to brainstorm events ideas.
  • Deliver talks and presentations to local community groups and organisations and represent NRF at functions when required.
  • Responsible for the administration, registration, recruitment, and standard procedures for events.
  • Carry out research i.e. using the internet and telephone.
  • Help with any other activities deemed suitable.

Volunteers

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising new volunteers.
  • Assesses NRF-wide and campaign event-specific needs to determine number and range of volunteers needed for particular projects.
  • Prepare orientation materials for new volunteers, including handbooks, programmes, and kits.
  • Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training.
  • Organising training and leading on-the-job training.
  • Keeping schedules and records of volunteers’ work.
  • Monitors volunteers during their appointments to retain or replace candidates.
  • Meets with volunteers to assess their progress and satisfaction, as well as to conduct performance evaluations or skills audits.
  • Cultivates a positive and supportive atmosphere by recognising volunteer efforts and assisting volunteers with their own endeavours.
  • Manages communication among volunteers and, between NRF and its volunteers, in order to share news, progress, and available positions.
  • Maintains a database of volunteers and projects and tracks metrics.
  • Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters.
  • Deliver presentations to interested groups and to attend events.
